Override Application Class. Localytics Android SDK implementation requires access to the Android Application class. Unity doesn't have Application class defined out of the box, so plugin will define this class as, in case you want to override Application class for our own needs, you need to inherit your Application class from LA_Applicaton and uncheck Override Application Class checkbox.

AndroidAapplication Permissions. Provides Information about your app manifest permissions. Please note that Localytics plugin is requiring following permissions to be in your manifest:

Creating your app keys

App keys allow you to separate data. Create one set of app keys for each app, so you can focus on one app at a time in the Dashboard.

You’ll need a separate app key for each device platform, such as iOS, Android, Windows, or web.

Additionally, you'll want to separate test data from production data by using separate app keys. You can have as many test app keys as you like. Feel free to delete your test app keys and make new ones whenever it's convenient. We recommend keeping your Dashboard free of old test app key "clutter."

Name production apps with a flag, such as [Production]. You can always rename apps if you haven't already done this. You could also use settings to assign icons to your production apps.

When you release your app to the app store, make sure your production app key is in it! Try adding this as a step to your release checklist.

  1. Log in to the Localytics Dashboard.
  2. At the bottom of the navigation bar, click Settings.
  3. Click Create an App.
  4. Enter the app's name. Choose its platform, category, and time zone. Upload an icon to help you track it.
  5. Choose whether you will track customer value as US cents or as raw values.
